Tonic Life Communications Opens First Office in Asia as Huntsworth Health Agency Expands Footprint

Huntsworth Health has announced today that its Lifesciences to Lifestyle agency Tonic Life Communications has officially launched in Asia, with the opening of its first office in Hong Kong.

Tonic Life Communications, recognized by PRWeek as a top 10 healthcare consultancy in 2009, specializes in delivering public relations and medical communications solutions in the areas of LifeSciences (prescription medicines and devices) and LifeStyles (consumer health and well-being brands) with a particular focus on where the two areas intersect.  

“Tonic already has a number of international clients that have been seeking for our support in Asia and by opening this office we will be well-placed to offer local insight coupled with world-class talent and campaigns,” said Scott A. Clark, Global CEO and one of the founders of Tonic Life Communications.  “From a regional hub in Hong Kong we will drive not only regional campaigns for our clients, but will be further developing our business with additional offices in Singapore and Shanghai planned for the near future.”

Joanne Basford, formerly regional director of Ogilvy Health, has been appointed as Managing Director of Tonic Life Communications Asia and she will be working closely with not only the global management team at Tonic but also with the broader Huntsworth network, that includes Grayling and Citigate, already established in the Asia-pacific region.

Tonic Life Communications was started in 2004 in the UK and acquired by Huntsworth PLC in July 2009 since when the success story has continued to flourish with strong global reach and presence in the U.S.
