Anuva Manufacturing Services, a world-class contract manufacturing company, was recently awarded ISO-13485:2003 certification by BSI. The certification is an international standard that sets out the requirements for a quality-management system specific to the medical devices industry. It is designed for use by organizations throughout the life cycle of a medical device, from initial conception to production and post-production, including final decommissioning and disposal. It also covers aspects such as storage, distribution, installation and servicing, and the provision of associated services.
"This certification was the next logical step to support Anuva's continued growth at our Florida facility," says Anuva Founder Vinu Patel. "The medical field will continue to grow and while our North Carolina operation already had this certification, we made the strategic decision to pursue this certification in Florida as well to support the opportunities that we see coming."
