HealthTrustSM, a leading healthcare performance improvement company, and CHRISTUS Health, an international, faith-based not-for-profit health system, announced today the signing of an agreement naming HealthTrust as the total spend management partner and exclusive national group purchasing organization (GPO) for the Catholic health ministry. The agreement is effective November 1, 2017.
CHRISTUS Health’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Randolph Safady, calls the new partnership a way for all of CHRISTUS to connect the dots between process, price and patient care. It also serves as an example of one of CHRISTUS’ Core Values: Stewardship.

In converting exclusively to HealthTrust, CHRISTUS will participate in clinical committees and collaborate to share best practices with an appropriate focus on quality and outcomes.
Christus will also benefit from HealthTrust’s ability to impact physician preference items and purchased services through the engagement of inSight AdvisorySM solutions.
