Cumberland Surgical and Acute Care Hospitals (Cumberland), an affiliate of Post Acute Medical, LLC (PAM), has announced it will build an 80-bed state-of-the-art full service acute-care hospital with emergency and urgent care services, along with the latest in imaging technology and modern surgery suites that cater to both physicians and their patients in Huntsville, Texas. The hospital will also offer an array of post-acute services to include rehab and sub-acute beds.
"We are excited to provide state-of-the-art acute care services close to home for the people of Huntsville and its surrounding communities," says Tony Misitano, Chairman of PAM and Cumberland. "Through our ongoing discussions with local physicians and healthcare providers, we will ensure the hospital delivers the highest level of care to compete in an evolving health care environment."
Construction is expected to commence within 180 days. Once ground is broken, Cumberland expects to complete construction within 18-24 months. The hospital, when fully staffed, will employ approximately 600 people.
