Kyruus, Inc., a leading provider of patient access and referral management solutions, announced today that MedStar Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region, has selected the ProviderMatch suite of products to optimize how patients access and engage with the system’s providers. MedStar will leverage Kyruus’ provider data management and smart scheduling platform across several points of access, including the call center and MedStar’s consumer-facing web properties, to generate consistency in the “front door experience” and ensure accurate referrals no matter where patients enter the system.
“The need to provide a unified and coordinated patient experience is critical for health systems that wish to engage effectively with the populations they serve,” said Michael Ruiz, vice president and chief digital officer for MedStar. “Kyruus’ ability to consolidate and enrich our provider data provides the foundation to build the front-end applications that our schedulers and patients can use to quickly and accurately find a provider who is the best match for a patient’s specific needs. We are excited by the possibilities of applying a sophisticated technology solution to enable patients to more easily connect with the right physicians for the care they need.”
As part of the collaboration, MedStar and Kyruus have created an Innovation Council comprised of leadership from both organizations that will work jointly on product and implementation strategies. “Delivering on our mission to better match patients to the right providers is catalyzed through working with innovative health systems who are helping to shape the future of healthcare delivery,” said Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “We are thrilled to have found such a partnership in MedStar and look forward to working with them to create a world-class patient experience.”
