PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa to expand patient access

Monday, March 25, 2019

PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa, which is part of the Post Acute Medical network of hospitals, will expand patient access to inpatient medical rehabilitation care with the addition of 13 beds.

The 41-bed hospital, located at 10020 East 91st Street in Tulsa, is consistently full and often has a waiting list for patients looking to benefit from its physician-led team of rehab experts who will help them recover faster and return home sooner, according to Thomas Biby, CEO.

"We recognize there is a growing need in our community for the hospital-level care we provide and plan to start the necessary buildout by the third quarter of this year," says Biby, adding that the hospital was built with room for future expansion in mind. "Assuming permitting and design go as planned, the building process should take six to nine months making us ready to accept additional patients no later than June 2020."

PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa will likely add 20 full-time, part-time and PRN employees due to the expansion.

PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. In addition to caring for general rehabilitation diagnoses, such as brain and spinal cord injuries, amputation, hip fractures, and joint replacement, the hospital offers specialized inpatient programs for stroke rehabilitation and amputation.
