Pudo Robotics announced the launch of the Puductor2, a technologically advanced robot for fighting pandemics. This newly developed intelligent robot has two disinfection modes - dry fog and UV-C radiation - and offers a large radius of action, a long detection distance, high positioning accuracy and greater adaptability to the environment. Puductor2 offers wider scope and improved disinfection efficiency and germ reduction, so it can also be used in places such as government buildings, schools, medical facilities, waiting rooms, airports, subways, banks and other public places.
According to the BBC, the number of coronavirus infections has risen again in many European countries since the end of October. Within ten days, the confirmed cumulative cases in the 53 European member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) rose from 6 million to more than 7 million .
Due to the pandemic, European countries have adopted restrictions on gatherings, early curfews and lockdowns to take on this new battle while avoiding economic losses. In fact, it is not always possible to keep the spread of the virus under control. Some experts believe that Europe and the US should learn from China's approaches to pandemic control - especially with regard to technology-enabled measures. For example, in the hospitals and quarantine stations in Wuhan, China, where the highly contagious virus emerged in early 2020, intelligent robots were used to disinfect the affected areas and to supply patients with goods they need daily, such as food, water and medication.
Among the anti-pandemic robots, the “Pudubot”, a make by the Chinese company Pudu Robotics, is the most commonly used. Pudu Robotics, based in Shenzhen, China's leading technology metropolis, is a national high-tech company and combines research and development, design, production and sales of commercial service robots under one roof. Its available service robots "Pudubot", "Bellabot" and "Holabot" are used in particular in the catering industry, thanks to successful partnerships with Chinese catering giants such as Haidilao. To support the fight against the pandemic, the "Puductor" dry mist disinfection robot developed and produced by Pudu Robotics is also used worldwide in hotels, restaurants, airports, medical facilities, Government buildings and other areas used for disinfection. Puductor's dry mist disinfection technology is effective against harmful microorganisms in the air and can quickly disinfect and kill bacteria and viruses such as the COVID-19 coronavirus with a sterilization rate of 99.99%.
