Trinity Health extends HealthTrust Relationship for 5 More Years

Saturday, September 26, 2015

Trinity Health, one of the largest Catholic healthcare delivery systems in the nation, signed a renewal participation agreement that extends its longstanding relationship with HealthTrust through December 2020.

Under terms of the agreement, Trinity Health will continue an eight-year partnership that has provided benchmark value to 86 hospitals in 21 states, helping the system move toward its goals related to improving health, improving care and reducing costs. Trinity Health has grown rapidly and is a strong proponent of the committed GPO model, having documented significant savings in each of its acquisitions.

“This partnership has grown tremendously since 2007,” says Lou Fierens, senior vice president of Supply Chain and Fixed Assets Management at Trinity Health. “We are proud to be a stakeholder in this unique collaborative of progressive systems working toward continuous value creation.”

“We’re excited to continue our journey with Trinity Health, a 2014 HealthTrust Innovation Grant recipient, as it pioneers next-generation supply chain initiatives,” says HealthTrust President and CEO Ed Jones. “We appreciate the renewed vote of confidence and are honored to have Trinity’s scale and leadership as part of our collective efforts.”
