Edina, Minnesota-based Welcov Healthcare is now operating Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket.
Welcov assumed operations of the skilled nursing community on Friday.
The name of the 52-bed facility has been changed to Prairie View Healthcare Community. It will continue its commitment to quality care, and Welcov plans to share its expertise and innovative approaches in providing progressive health care to the growing number of patients who require post-acute care.
Administrator Kayla Evans believes the move will enhance care at Prairie View. "We will be able to draw from the resources and experiences of a much wider community. Being part of Welcov will allow for many more opportunities, to provide specialized care for our patients and residents," she adds.
Welcov Healthcare is one of the nation's leading providers of senior care services. The award-winning organization has 60-plus skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities, along with home health agencies, throughout South Dakota Minnesota, Montana, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and Kansas.
