Allergan and Anglia Ruskin University Collaborate to Establish an Accredited Medical Aesthetics Training Program in Asia-Pacific

Allergan, Inc.,the world’s leading medical aesthetics company,announced today that it has entered into a partnership with England’s Anglia Ruskin Universityto developa master’s degree program in non-invasive facial aesthetics for physicians practicing in the Asia Pacific region.The announcement was made following the Allergan Academy® Asia PacificInaugural Faculty Summit, which took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 21-22 March, 2015.

The program, which will be accredited by Anglia Ruskin University, is specifically designed to empower medical aesthetics experts across the Asia Pacific region to achieve new levels of clinical excellence in the field throughpractical and progressive learning methods.The program will be developed in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University.

Allergan Academy® Asia Pacific is an educational platform that aims to empower medical aesthetic practitioners to enhance their clinical expertise in the field. The Allergan Academy® Asia Pacific Inaugural Faculty Summit was attended by 85 practitioners from 11 countries across the region to explore the latest developments in facial aesthetics and share the best-in-class training techniques for practitioners to deliver expert training sessions in their countries.

Dr Sharon McDonald, Head of Department, Department of Medicine and Healthcare Science, Faculty of Medical Science at Anglia Ruskin University, was present at the summit to launch the collaboration. She said, “We aim to work closely with Allergan and the faculty heads of Allergan Academy® Asia Pacific to provide an educational platform to support the development of a new generation of leading practitioners and advance the industry standard for medical aesthetics.”
