ReVIDA Recovery Centers Open Across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia

Tuesday, February 26, 2019

Lee Dilworth, a Nashville-based healthcare executive, announced the formation of ReVIDA Recovery Centers LLC in seven locations across East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. ReVIDA Recovery Centers, a comprehensive behavioral healthcare company that incorporates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to treat opioid use disorder, works to empower each patient to reclaim the life they once had before addiction.

Based in Nashville with clinics throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, ReVIDA works to heal the whole person, rather than simply treat the symptoms of opioid use disorder. ReVIDA understands that treatment doesn’t stop at the end of a patient’s visit; in order to overcome opioid use disorder, ReVIDA works to improve all aspects of a patient’s life that has been harmed by addiction.

According to the Tennessee Department of Health, 1,268 overdose deaths in 2017 were caused by opioids, with Northeast Tennessee leading the state in the rate of overdoses. In Virginia, 1,227 people died of overdoses related to opioids in 2017. In Tennessee alone, a report from the University of Tennessee Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research details how the opioid epidemic has harmed the workforce participation rate, costing Tennesseans billions in personal income. Communities across the region have suffered.

“ReVIDA is in the business of assisting people with opioid use disorder to reclaim their lives,” said Lee Dilworth, CEO of ReVIDA Recovery Centers. “In order to make a positive and lasting impact on each patient’s life, our staff is dedicated to working with primary care providers, law enforcement, social services, non-profits, and other community members to help the entire community overcome this epidemic. Every patient who successfully reclaims their life as they find recovery becomes a healthier and more productive participant in their community. Recovery saves lives, heals fractured families, reduces the costs of healthcare, social services, and in the criminal justice system. Recovery results in healthier and safer communities,” he continued.

Nationally recognized healthcare entrepreneur and ReVIDA Board Chairman Martin Rash said, “ReVIDA is dedicated to becoming the gold standard in treating opioid use disorder in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Our model of comprehensive behavioral healthcare, which incorporates medication-assisted treatment as one component, will help not only those struggling with opioid use disorder but also the communities that have been harmed the most by this epidemic,” he added.

“I have worked in the behavioral healthcare space for many years and have never seen the level of dedication to positive patient outcomes that I see here,” said Ed Ohlinger, COO of ReVIDA Recovery Centers.
