Jay Burkhardt
AA Medical, a leading tech-enabled solutions provider for medical equipment and supplies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Burkhardt as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Jay Burkhardt joins AA Medical with extensive experience in driving growth and transformation within the healthcare sector. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Probo Medical, a global diagnostic imaging solutions provider backed by private equity. At Probo, Jay played a pivotal role in leading the company through multiple phases of transformational growth since joining in 2019.
Previously, Jay spent nearly a decade with McKesson and its subsidiary, US Oncology, holding leadership positions across commercial operations, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and Oklahoma State University, and a Certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Matt Nelson, who has served as AA Medical’s CEO since 2012, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer. In this capacity, he will focus on advancing the company’s technology solutions, marketing initiatives, and equipment acquisition strategies.
AA Medical’s private equity partner, Shore Capital Partners, expressed confidence in Jay’s appointment. This leadership transition marks a new chapter for AA Medical as it continues to expand its impact within the healthcare sector.
