Memorial Healthcare System Appoints Dr. LaKeeya Tucker as Chief Medical Officer

Memorial Healthcare System has appointed LaKeeya Tucker, DO, FACOOG, CPE, as Chief Medical Officer for Memorial Hospital Miramar and Memorial Hospital Pembroke. 

In this role, Dr. Tucker will collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to enhance care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen medical staff engagement across both hospitals.

Dr. Tucker is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with more than 23 years of clinical and executive leadership experience. She has a strong track record of advancing quality of care, driving patient safety initiatives, and promoting physician engagement in complex healthcare environments. Her leadership approach emphasizes patient-centered care and continuous improvement in clinical performance.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Tucker spent over two decades as a partner at Alliance OB/GYN, where she practiced at University of Michigan Health Sparrow Lansing. During her tenure, she also held key leadership roles, including serving as Chief of Staff from 2020 to 2022 and chairing the Quality & Patient Safety Committee for the University of Michigan Health Regional Hospitals Boards. She is a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Dr. Tucker earned her undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at St. John Detroit Riverview and Macomb Hospitals.

Her appointment reflects Memorial’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-focused care.
