BVRMC Approves $20 Million Medical Office Building on Storm Lake Campus
Introduction
Buena Vista Regional Medical Center (BVRMC) has announced plans to build a new $20 million medical office building on its campus in Storm Lake. The project was approved by the hospital’s Board of Trustees and aims to strengthen primary healthcare services in the region.
Features
The new medical office building will house all family medicine providers from UnityPoint Clinic in one location, allowing patients to access a range of primary care services in a coordinated setting.
The facility will also include the relocation of the BVRMC Pharmacy, which is the only locally owned pharmacy in Storm Lake.
The pharmacy space will feature expanded service areas and a drive-up window to improve convenience for patients.
By locating the clinic services and pharmacy on the hospital campus, the project will allow closer integration with hospital departments, improving workflow efficiency for healthcare providers and offering more streamlined care for patients.
Groundbreaking for the new medical office building is scheduled for spring 2026, with construction expected to be completed in 2027.
