Confluence Health Expands Oncology Capabilities with $60M Cancer Center
Introduction
Confluence Health has received board approval for a new cancer center at its Central Campus. Following a feasibility study, the project has entered the schematic design phase. The new facility is intended to bring expert cancer care closer to patients, improving access while unifying care teams around each patient’s treatment journey.
Features
The new cancer center, budgeted at nearly $60 million, will significantly expand available space and consolidate services into one location.
Exam rooms will increase by 38%, medical infusion chairs by 76%, and the number of linear accelerator vaults will double from one to two.
The facility will integrate medical oncology, radiation, infusion, labs, and supportive care under one roof, creating a seamless, patient-centred experience.
The design prioritises reducing travel times for patients, especially those from rural areas, allowing them to remain close to family and support networks.
Construction is expected to start in November 2026, with the first patients anticipated in mid-2028.
