Burnley General Teaching Hospital received the approval for the US$21million development plan.

The Burnley General Teaching Hospital ‘Phase 8’ development plan will begin from May 2018.
The new hospital infrastructure will incorporate a state-of-the-art ophthalmology centre, outpatients department and maxillo facial facilities.
Burnley Hospital is undertaking this major investment to ensure that hospital services meet the highest standards to meet the expectations of patients.
The New Phase 8 will comprise all the modern potentials and equipment that will benefit inpatients and staff as well.
The ground floor of the new complex will consist of Outpatients Department with 21 consultation rooms and a dedicated specialist facility blood room for existing outpatients.
In addition, the new Maxillo facial unit will incorporate a laboratory, four consulting rooms, and a minor procedures theatre.
The new Ophthalmology Centre will be located exclusively on the first floor of Phase 8 and will feature two theatres, eight clinic rooms, laser room, day unit and computerised tomography room.
IHP-Vinci is the Construction Partner of Burnley General Teaching Hospital. The Phase 8 is likely to open in October 2019 with the new facilities.
