Eurobodalla Hospital Invests $330 Million in Construction from Batemans to Narooma

Introduction:

The construction of the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital is progressing well and remains on schedule to provide improved healthcare services across the region, extending from north of Batemans Bay to south of Narooma.

Features:

The hospital will introduce several new services, including the region’s first paediatrics unit, an eight-bed intensive care unit, and an MRI service.

The new facility will also feature a larger emergency department, offering greater capacity than the existing emergency services at Moruya and Batemans Bay.

Additional mental health beds will be included to provide short-term care, ensuring better access to modern and high-quality healthcare within the community.

The new access road and future hospital car park have been built, bulk excavation of the site is nearly finished, and the foundations for the main hospital building have been laid, with concrete pouring for the footings currently in progress.

The development is anticipated to create approximately 550 direct jobs, alongside many indirect employment opportunities throughout the project's duration.

The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2027.
