Hamilton Health Sciences Invests $224 Million to Expand New West Lincoln Memorial Hospital
Introduction:
Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is constructing a new, advanced West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) to better serve the expanding West Niagara community. This modern, state-of-the-art hospital will be designed to meet the expectations of the community while supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care.
Features:
The facility will include 55 inpatient beds, six dedicated suites for maternity and newborn care, and eight bassinets.
Surgical capacity will expand with the addition of three operating rooms and one procedure room.
All rooms will be single-occupancy to improve patient care, enhance the overall experience, and support infection prevention protocols.
The expansion will increase the hospital’s total size by nearly 80%.
The expansion is completed by summer 2025.
