Introduction:
HealthSouth Corporation announced its plans to build a freestanding 38-bed comprehensive impatient rehabilitation hospital in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Features:
The South Carolina Board of Health and Environmental Control granted a certificate to this project. The project will be developed with an US$22 million investment in the community. It is expected to generate more than 89 new and full time jobs.
The future inpatient rehabilitation hospital will serve patients in Hilton Head and surrounding countries. It will provide access to specialised rehabilitation programs and innovative equipment and technology for patients recovering from condition such as stroke and other neurological disorders, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries, complex orthopedic conditions and amputations.
This hospital will operate as HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of the Low-country. It contains state-of-the-art technologies that would be a strong addition to the highly reputable care already provided in the communities.
The hospital is coupled with our specialized teams of rehabilitation healthcare experts. The construction of the hospital starts in the second quarter of 2017 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
