Jackson Health System Invests US$300 million to Renovate Hospital’s Emergency Department in USA

Introduction:
Jackson Health System plans to renovate its current emergency department with an investment of US$300 million.

Features:
With $300 million allocated for renovations, the current 48,000 square foot emergency department will undergo a significant transformation, expanding to an impressive 178,800 square feet.

The revamped emergency room will serve as a model facility for quality, efficiency, and patient experience. 

Its features include over 200 patient rooms, a rapid triage system to reduce waiting times, 50 observation rooms, six resuscitation rooms, and enhanced privacy features such as family lounges and waiting areas.

The current emergency room will be renovated to align its appearance with that of the new facility.
Within this area, the paediatric section will feature 30 rooms designed with a child-friendly atmosphere, along with its own lobby and registration area. In addition, the new facility will have separate entrances for paediatric patients.

Anticipated completion for the new facility is set for 2025, while the transformation of the existing emergency room is scheduled for 2027.
