Massachusetts General Hospital Opens New Facility in Massachusetts, USA

Introduction:
Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) plans to open a new state-of-the-art clinical care facility. The facility will be home to the Mass General Cancer Center and the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center.

Features:
Two patient towers includes 482 single-bed inpatient rooms, a comfortable and holistic healing environment for patients and families. The new facility will be laidwith more than 1.5 million square feet within the MGH campus.

The state-of-the-art facility features large operating room, interventional and procedural rooms, imaging facilities, infusion rooms, exam rooms, and support space for pharmacy and dietary services. In addition, underground parking for six levels, parking space for 864 vehicles for patients and families, replacement of outdated parkman garage. Parking spaces for 566 bicycles and green roof terraces are also included.

The new building enables to continue care for patients with clinical excellence, improving the health of the communities, training the next generation of healthcare leaders, and changing the future of healthcare with the discovery and innovation. Moreover, the building serves as a new gateway for patient care.

The construction of the project is expected to take seven years to complete, and is expected to opening will be done between 2027 and 2030.
