Invests $1.9 Billion to Transform Phoenix Campus in Arizona
Introduction:
Mayo Clinic has announced a significant investment of nearly $1.9 billion to further develop its Phoenix campus as part of its Bold. Forward. strategy. The initiative, known as Bold. Forward. Unbound. In Arizona, is aimed at transforming healthcare through innovative care models, advanced technology, and improved infrastructure.
Features:
The project will cover an area of 1.2 million square feet and will include several major developments.
These include the construction of a new procedural building, a four-floor extension of the Mayo Clinic Specialty Building, and the incorporation of cutting-edge medical technology.
Additionally, 11 new operating rooms and two patient units will be added, increasing capacity by 48 beds.
To enhance accessibility and convenience, the expansion will introduce a two-storey indoor promenade connecting key areas of the campus.
This will improve movement between buildings for both patients and visitors. Another key aspect of the project is the creation of care neighbourhoods, where related clinical services will be grouped together to provide a more seamless and connected patient journey.
The expansion in Arizona will be completed by 2031.
