Introduction:
Novant Health plans to construct new critical care tower with an investment of US$222 million. It will be located on the current site of Forsyth Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Center.

The construction of the new tower includes phase 1 and phase 2.
Phase 1, currently being under construction includes renovation of patient rooms, development of the women’s and children’s center. Moreover, the tower also includes 60 critical care and 36 intermediate beds provided with an improved surgical suite and collocated supportive services.The large patient rooms offers flexibility with additional privacy and allows conversion to intensive care or isolation rooms.
Phase 2 of the tower construction is designed with increase in number of pre- and postoperative space, improving patient experience by lessening the travel time between hospital areas and boosting visitor experience with abundant natural light.
After the construction is completed both the optimally designed space and medical expertise are combined to prioritise patient experience and healing.
