Piedmont Healthcare Invests US$215 million to Construct New Patient Tower in USA

Introduction:
Piedmont Healthcare with an investment of US$215 million plan to construct a state-of-the-art patient tower in USA.

Features:
The new tower is designed to reshape the hospital's campus and also to address the healthcare needs of a rapidly expanding community.

The project will will house a remarkable 95 new or supplementary inpatient rooms. This increase in capacity is supported by the acquisition of a new bed licence, allowing the hospital to accommodate a total of 355 beds.

In addition to the new patient tower and inpatient rooms, the project will include the construction of additional surface parking facilities and the incorporation of three more Operating Room (OR) suites.

With these additions, the hospital's total OR count will reach 14, marking a substantial enhancement in surgical capacity. This expanded OR capacity is poised to offer increased accessibility and shorter waiting times, particularly for high-end surgical procedures.

The additional patient rooms will reduce the waiting times at the emergency department, accommodating nearly 75,000 visits on an annual basis.

The construction is scheduled to begin in early 2024, and it is anticipated to be completed in approximately two and a half years.
