Introduction:
Riddle Hospital, which is part of Main Line Health is investing US$327 million to open a new five-storey, 230,000-square-foot Pavilion to enhance healthcare facilities for patients. The new pavilion will be located at Delaware County, USA.
Features:
The new pavilion brings a range of state-of-the-art facilities and expanded healthcare features to benefit patients.
The inclusion of 76 private patient rooms will enhance comfort and privacy. The emphasis on maximising natural light is commendable as it contributes to creating a brighter and more pleasant atmosphere for patients.
The presence of 10 modern surgical suites, including two robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery will likely enable to provide high-quality surgical care to patients.
The addition of new maternity suites and a neonatal intensive care unit signifies a significant capacity increase to provide care for newborns. With the capacity to handle 1,800 births per year, the hospital can better meet the growing needs of the community.
Other features include addition of an atrium with new shopping and dining options. Further, it also includes a new 174-space parking garage with electric vehicle charging stations.
As part of this project, renovations are being made to the existing hospital's intensive care unit, as well as other care and support areas.
Furthermore, the campus modernisation project is still ongoing, with completion expected in the summer of 2024.
