Riverside Health System Commences Construction on New Hospital in the USA

Introduction:
Riverside Health System plans for the construction of new Riverside Smithfield Hospital (RSH) to enhance the capacity to offer personalized and compassionate healthcare in close proximity to residents' homes.

Features:

The new state-of-the-art facility brings improved accessibility to healthcare services for the local community.

This modern hospital, equipped with 50 beds, is poised to provide a comprehensive range of medical services.

These services include a fully operational emergency room, an intensive care unit to cater to critical patients, a medical/surgical unit to handle various medical cases, operating suites for surgical procedures, and an array of diagnostic and procedural services.

Parallel to the construction of the expansive 200,000-square-foot hospital, Riverside is also embarking on the expansion of its campus.

This expansion will feature a Medical Office Building (MOB) called the Jamison-Longford Medical Office Building. This MOB will serve as a space accommodating various multispecialty medical offices, in addition to housing different diagnostic and procedural services, thereby providing a comprehensive healthcare hub for the community.

The new Riverside Smithfield Hospital (RSH) is anticipated to open its doors in early 2026.
