Introduction:
Salford Royal invested US$81 million for the construction of the new hospital. The new hospital will be located at Salford Royal site.
Features:
The new six-storey centre is constructed with an area covering 9,800 m2. It consists of a resuscitation area, emergency theatres, inpatient beds, diagnostic imaging, and a helipad.
The new US$81 million hospital will support the hospital in its role as major trauma centre for Greater Manchester and the hub site for emergency General Surgery for the North West of Manchester.
The newly constructed hospital will also act as a hub for high risk emergency general surgery across Bolton, Salford and Wigan. It is believed that the new innovative six-storey, state-of-the art development will provide improved patient outcomes across Greater Manchester.
The construction of the new hospital is expected to be completed in 2023.
