Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Invests US$55 million to Open New Medical Campus
Introduction:
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System plans an investment of $55 million to construct Union Medical Center replacement facility. The new facility will be located in USA.
Features:
The newly planned three-storey, 99,600-square-foot medical campus is designed to prioritise patient well-being, emphasising accessibility and providing high-quality care.
The comprehensive range of medical services offered at the new campus will include emergency care, imaging facilities, infusion services at the Gibbs Cancer Centre, inpatient care, laboratory services, mammography services at the Bearden-Josey Centre for Breast Health, outpatient services, pharmacy services, and primary care.
By combining the replacement hospital and medical office building, the campus establishes a sustainable healthcare model. It integrates physician practises, outpatient services, and inpatient care, streamlining and centralising healthcare delivery.
The design of the hospital incorporates large windows and open spaces, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere with natural accents that promote a sense of vibrancy throughout the campus.
Additionally, there will be a serene chapel, providing a peaceful space for prayer, and a healing garden at the entrance to welcome patients and visitors. These thoughtful features aim to enhance the overall healing environment and patient experience at the new Union Medical Centre campus.
The construction of the new facility will began in spring 2023, estimated to be completed by 2025.
