St. Francis Regional Medical Center Expands Healthcare Facilities
Introduction:
St. Francis Regional Medical Center plans for the expansion of emergency mental healthcare facilities. The expansion addresses the need for mental health emergencies.
Features:
The project includes addition of six rooms dedicated for the treatment of mental health in emergency department. Rising mental health emergencies and addiction crisis among patients within the Scott and Carver Counties communities has given rise to emergency mental health treatment thus expanding emergency department.
The resources and facilities of the emergency department will provide care for individuals. The state-of-the-art new emergency facility directly contributes to the health and safety of the increasing community, while addressing staff and patients safety by making healthy environment for patients undergoing mental health emergencies.
The emergency department of St. Francis’ will fully remain operational during construction and it is anticipated to complete its construction by 2021.
