Introduction:
ThedaCare Medical Center plans to construct a new Emergency Department (ED) with an investment approximately US$8.5 m.
Features:
Emergency Department (ED) is designed with an area covering nearly 9,000 sq ft ED.
New Emergency Department (ED), constructed with new technology and equipment will feature larger trauma room and a room with a bariatric lift to help care providers in transferring disabled patients or those who have difficulty in standing. In addition, the plan also includes increasing the number of current treatment rooms from seven to nine.
This new ED is planned to provide access to needed services for the people located in rural area of Berlin. Moreover, ED with modern facility will provide the best experience for patients by ensuring a more efficient work area for care teams.With the additional space and enhanced patient experiencethe new ED expects to serve more patients by providing job opportunities.
The new Emergency Department (ED)is expected to start its operations in spring 2021.
