Hospital Features

The Hospital plans to provide a state-of-the-art CT Scan facility to its patients. According to Dr Muralidhara the recent introduction of the 64-Slice Brilliance cardiac CT Scan had made cardiac prevention care more accurate and affordable. Besides the cardiac problems, the CT Scan could also detect arterial aberrations in other parts of the body, including the brain. It is also capable of helping in diagnosis of cancer, he added.

The 64-slice Brilliance Cardiac CT Scan has performed 1,300 coronary angiograms of which 324 were abnormal cases, This test was useful in preventing heart attacks as it could detect blockages in the arteries in the very early stages. It also prevented sudden cardiac deaths and was helpful especially to those people over 40 years of age who had diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and high stress, Dr. Muralidhara said.
