The University of Chicago Medicine invests US$815 million to construct standalone facility dedicated to cancer care and research in the United States.

- Home to a comprehensive breast centre encompassing screening and diagnostic imaging facilities and biopsy rooms
- Dedicated clinical trial spaces that facilitate streamlined access to cutting-edge research
- A centre devoted to prevention, detection, treatment, and survival, offering complementary therapies, stress reduction programmes, community education, and well-being support
- Versatile shell space that can expand both vertically and horizontally, ensuring adaptability for future growth and technological advancements
- Designed with a focus on family-friendliness, including amenities like showers and on-site laundry facilities, family dining areas for inpatients, and larger consultation rooms for patients attending appointments with their loved ones
The cancer pavillion is scheduled to welcome its patients in the spring of 2027.
