University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health to Open New Behavioural Health Pavilion in Maryland, USA
Introduction:
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health plans to construct a new new, state-of-the-art medical centre, emergency department and behavioural health pavilion in USA.
Features:
The facility spans 130,000 square feet and encompasses a cutting-edge emergency department and observation area. It also features a helipad to facilitate critical advanced care for patients, along with a behavioural health pavilion catering to both inpatient and outpatient needs.
It provides an array of clinical services encompassing primary care, endocrinology, diabetes care, cardiology, haematology, oncology, infusion services, wound care, orthopaedics, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.
The centre boasts cutting-edge features, such as modern telehealth systems in every patient room, enabling enhanced monitoring and speciality care consultations. Specifically designed emergency department rooms adhere to geriatric standards, incorporating padded floors, larger fonts on signs, warm colour schemes, and brighter lighting. These rooms are conveniently situated adjacent to the nurses station.
The facility stands out with its dedicated exterior courtyards for each behavioural health 'neighbourhood,' generously-sized conference rooms available for community use, and the implementation of LED lighting complete with automatic dimming controls as standout amenities.
Imaging and lab services are scheduled to be incorporated by February 2024.
