The newly renovated cancer treatment facility, located at 2025 Tech Parkway, is a state-of-the-art centre dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalised care for patients battling cancer.
The facility will house UPMC Hillman Cancer Centre's medical oncology care services, including exam rooms, procedure rooms, and private infusion rooms. Moreover, the facility will address a variety of cancer diseases, offering infusion and lab services alongside medical oncology care.
The facility incorporates integrative oncology, which integrates evidence-based holistic and wellness practises into cancer treatment plans. This approach provides physical, mental, and spiritual support throughout treatment and beyond, enhancing symptom management and quality of life. Patients have access to acupuncture, massage therapy, reiki, yoga, and other evidence-based holistic practises.
The facility will accommodate an additional linear accelerator in radiation oncology, providing advanced treatment options for patients. Surgical oncology services, including colourectal and breast surgery, will also be available.
In addition to medical treatment, the facility offers a range of support services including laboratory services, genetic and nutritional counselling, palliative care, spiritual services, and social work. These services address the diverse needs of patients and their families throughout the cancer journey.
