The cancer centre project is part of the campus's strategic vision's second phase, following a US$5 million expansion of operating rooms and the introduction of various surgical specialities in phase one.
This investment ensures New Prague has the necessary facilities, resources, and services to deliver high-quality care to a growing number of patients now and in the future.
The project will feature:
- A comprehensive oncology department offering clinical care, chemotherapy, immuno and targeted therapies, genetic counselling, nutrition guidance, social work assistance, and pharmacy support
- Upgraded patient privacy and accommodations with a focus on infection control
- Ten beds, including eight infusion therapy bays and two private rooms, catering to both cancer and noncancer infusions
- Five exam rooms dedicated to oncology and haematology patients
- Improved patient flow and navigation
- Dedicated spaces for providers, including offices, a nurse station, and a break room.
