AIMD Expands Global Deployment of AI-Guided Laryngoscope
Korean medical technology company AIMD is expanding the global deployment of A-LRYNGO™, an AI-guided video laryngoscope with real-time automatic glottis recognition, as it advances AI-supported airway management in clinical settings.
A-LRYNGO is designed to assist clinicians and emergency medical personnel during endotracheal intubation, a procedure performed more than 100 million times globally each year.
Its on-device AI identifies the glottis in real time and provides visual guidance without requiring an external server or recurring AI licence fees.
The portable system can start in less than five seconds and supports wireless screen sharing, video recording and image capture.
Its technology was developed through a national research and development programme supported by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and has undergone clinical evaluation.
The device has been deployed across Korean fire service and emergency medical organisations and is gaining international exposure.
More than 200 units are reportedly in use across public hospitals in Uzbekistan, while healthcare organisations in Vietnam and Laos have also adopted the technology.
A-LRYNGO is additionally being evaluated at Mayo Clinic in the US through a government-supported overseas demonstration programme.
AIMD has received Korean government recognition for the technology’s research and commercial potential.
The company plans to showcase A-LRYNGO at MEDICA 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, as it continues expanding its international healthcare partnerships.
