AsiaMedic Introduces GE HealthCare’s MR31 MRI Technology

AsiaMedic has introduced GE HealthCare’s MR31 MRI platform at its imaging centre in Singapore, making the facility the first in ASEAN and one of the earliest locations in Asia Pacific to adopt the technology.

The new platform uses deep learning-based capabilities to support faster MRI examinations while maintaining detailed image acquisition.

Sonic DL for 3D enables accelerated volumetric scanning, with up to 12-fold faster acquisition across applications involving the brain, spine, orthopaedics and other body regions.

MR31 also extends its capabilities to prostate imaging. AIR Recon DL Phase Correction is designed for advanced diffusion-weighted imaging, supporting clearer assessment of clinically significant prostate lesions.

High-resolution T2-weighted imaging can also assist radiologists in locating lesions when preparing for prostate fusion biopsy.

Reducing acquisition time can help shorten the period patients spend undergoing MRI and may lower the need for repeat scans linked to movement during examinations.

For healthcare professionals, the platform provides additional imaging capabilities that may support diagnostic evaluation without immediately requiring more invasive investigations.

The implementation marks an expansion of AsiaMe.
