Spineology Inc, discovered breakthrough Duo Ti™ Expandable Interbody Fusion Procedure.
Duo Ti is cost-effective invasive lateral approaches and Spineology’s proprietary mesh technology consisting of porous OsteoSync™ Ti titanium blocks for improved implants. The OsteoSync™ consisting of highly porous macro structure consisting both both micro and nano texturing enables larger bone ingrowth capabilities. The Duo procedure uses mesh technology along with porous titanium to deliver a large, anatomy conforming implant through anatomy-conserving lateral decubitus and prone approaches.
The procedure is carried out through a small tube. During implant insertion, the mesh component is occupied and expanded with bone in situ allowing surgeons to lower retraction requirements and keep neural structures safe from getting decompressed.
Patients treated with Duo procedure have shown positive results with quick recovery followed by surgery, resulting in long term relief and return to their timely activities. In addition, the procedure reduces the risk of hospitalizations for patients.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants Breakthrough Device Designation for Duo Ti™ Expandable Interbody Fusion Procedure.
