Centinel Spine Introduces First-of-its-Kind Prodisc® C Match-the-Disc™ Cervical TDR System

Centinel Spine® has successfully introduced first-of-its-kind 2-Level IDE trial evaluating prodisc® C Match-the-Disc™ cervical TDR system. This study focuses on evaluating Centinel Spine's prodisc C Vivo and prodisc C SK cervical Total Disc Replacement (TDR) system.

The prodisc C Vivo TDR system has already been utilised in clinical settings and has gained prominence as one of the most commonly implanted TDR devices on a global scale. This system employs a fixation mechanism without a keel structure, and it combines a specially designed upper endplate that conforms to anatomical features with lateral spikes that enhance the fit and provide immediate stabilisation.

On the other hand, the prodisc C SK device is characterised by a flat endplate design that is aimed at achieving optimal implant positioning. This design enables surgeons to address the unique anatomical considerations of each patient.

The device incorporates a low-profile central keel that ensures rapid fixation and facilitates a more streamlined keel preparation technique during the surgical procedure.

The primary objective of this trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of both the prodisc C Vivo and prodisc C SK systems. This evaluation will be conducted through a comparison with an approved total disc replacement (TDR) product, which serves as a control in the study.  Specifically, the trial will focus on 2-level indications, allowing surgeons to choose from two distinct TDR control devices for treating each individual surgical level.
