Cerna Healthcare launches SafePatch for senior safety monitoring
Cerna Healthcare has launched SafePatch, a discreet wearable safety patch designed to support the safety and wellbeing of older adults and people who may need additional assistance at home.
The lightweight, water-resistant patch attaches directly to the skin and provides fall detection, activity monitoring and emergency messaging.
When an SOS event or fall is detected, alerts and text messages can be sent to designated family members, friends or professional monitoring teams.
SafePatch works with the company’s FallSoft software, which monitors movement and activity and can provide alerts for falls, SOS events, step counts and low battery levels.
The device offers up to one week of battery life and is designed to minimise the need for frequent charging or user interaction.
The system is priced at $99 as a one-time fee, including the device and a six-month supply of replacement patches.
Both service options include SOS functionality, fall detection and activity monitoring.
The Family Monitoring plan costs $9.99 per month and allows an unlimited number of designated family members to receive emergency alerts and daily status updates.
The Professional Monitoring plan costs $29.99 per month and provides access to a professional team for monitoring, communication and emergency triage.
SafePatch is scheduled to begin shipping in October 2026.
