The Cognixion ONE™ Axon is a combination of AI, Augmented Reality, and Assistive Technology, creating an assisted reality device. Its primary purpose is to assist individuals with severe motor impairments in communicating and interacting more effectively and independently with the world around them.

The Cognixion ONE™ Axon is specifically designed to aid individuals with neurodegenerative conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease, Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as acquired conditions like traumatic injuries and cerebral palsy, which result in severe motor impairments.

The device uses electroencephalogram (EEG) technology, which is a noninvasive brain-computer interface (BCI). This interface allows patients with advanced disease progression to communicate their thoughts and mental attention by wearing the device, which takes the form of an augmented reality headset.

The device integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), including large language models like GPT, to provide contextual predictions and support the user's communication intentions and desired outcomes. It offers suggestions that can be quickly selected and communicated audibly and visually through the front visor of the device, serving as a communication aid.
