Doraya™, A Breakthrough Device Developed for the Treatment of Acute Heart Failure

Revamp Medical develops breakthrough Doraya™ device for the treatment of patients with Acute Heart Failure (AHF).

Doraya™, a newly developed temporary intravenous catheter helps cardiologists in improving hemodynamics, such as cardiac preload and renal afterload, to improve diuretic efficacy.

Doraya™ device is temporarily designed to lower Central Venous Pressure and improve diuretic response in hospitalised patients with acute heart failure with insufficient response to diuretic therapy. Doraya, a temporary catheter is placed in the Inferior Vena Cava below the renal veins, applying partial adjustable flow for up to 12 hours.

Heart failure is a serious chronic and ongoing disease affecting more than 6 million American adults and annually hospitalising over 1 million people in US alone. Advanced Heart Failure is generally caused by frequent episodes of acute decompensation (fluid overload), which requires hospitalization for stabilization and improvement in symptoms.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants Breakthrough Device Designation for the Doraya™ device.
