Neuroform Atlas® Stent System Launched for the Treatment of Posterior Aneurysms

Stryker’s launched Neuroform Atlas® Stent System, a new treatment option for patients with aneurysms which mainly occurs in the back of the brain.

Aneurysms frequently occuring in the posterior circulation rupture are more difficult to treat, but with the launch of the new Neuroform Atlas Stent System the long term treatment for posterior circulation becomes more convenient and easier.

Self-expanding nitinol stent is used in combination with metal coils to pack aneurysms within the brain. The stent is located across the aneurysm neck to support metal coils in place and occlude the aneurysm.

Neuroform Atlas® Stent System is applicable for neurovascular embolisation coils in the anterior and posterior circulation of the neurovasculature endovascular treatments of patients whose age consists of above eighteen years with saccular wide-necked.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Neuroform Atlas® Stent System an expanded indication, providing a new option for patients with aneurysms in the back of the brain.
