QuantalX Develops First-of-its-Kind Delphi-MD Device for NPH Diagnosis & Treatment

QuantalX has devloped first-of-its-kind point-of-care neurodiagnostic device named Delphi-MD device.

The Delphi-MD device offers a new approach to neurodiagnostics for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) patients.

The Delphi-MD device, as a first-in-class medical device, aims to revolutionise this diagnostic process by providing accessible neurodiagnostic capabilities at any point of care.

By using this device, physicians can potentially detect NPH in its early stages, leading to improved brain health outcomes and better patient care. It can offer a non-invasive and convenient alternative to the current invasive diagnostic procedures, making it easier and safer for patients to be evaluated for NPH.

NPH is a condition caused by disturbances in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics, leading to a triad of symptoms including difficulty in walking and balancing, urinary disturbances, and cognitive decline.

The current diagnostic procedure for NPH is complex and involves cognitive evaluation, brain imaging (MRI or CT scan), and an assessment of mobility before and after an invasive spinal CSF withdrawal (CSF tap test). The new Delphi-MD NPH indication revolutionises the diagnostic procedure for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), making it simple and accessible.

The introduction of Delphi-MD empowers healthcare providers to easily and effectively diagnose NPH, transforming patient care and outcomes.
