Wearable Vein Dilation Device Discovered to Treat End-Stage Renal Disease

Fist Assist Devices, LLC discovered novel fist assist model FA-1 device for the treatment of patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

FA-1 device is a wearable, intermittent pneumatic compression device indicated for pre-surgical vein dilation which promotes AV fistula creation in chronic renal failure patients. The device is worn on the arm.

The device consisting of biological and physiological benefits compresses the outflow vein. In addition, the fully automated FA-1 device compared with other vein dilation alyernatives improves patient’s compilance sihnificantly.

The FA-1 device supports patients physicians, and health care delivery systems since larger veins give patients more treatment options regarding surgical or endoAVF procedures. Moreover, the device also helps patients in receiving more timely access to advanced technologies for effective treatment of irreversible diseases.

Nearly 40 million adult Americans have chronic kidney disease, and every year more than 100,000 Americans begin hemodialysis resulting in kidney failure.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants Breakthrough Device Designation for Fist Assist Model FA-1 device for End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients.
