Howard Hechler
Lumicell, Inc., a privately held company pioneering fluorescence-guided imaging technologies to enhance cancer surgery outcomes, has appointed Howard Hechler as its Chief Executive Officer.
Each year, over 17 million people are diagnosed with solid tumors, with surgery being the primary treatment for most. Lumicell's cutting-edge imaging technology addresses the critical need for intraoperative tools to help surgeons detect and remove cancerous tissue more effectively, improving patient outcomes.
Hechler joined Lumicell as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy, later advancing to President before being named CEO. He brings extensive experience in investment banking, management consulting, and strategic partnering/M&A within the medical device and biopharmaceutical sectors, having held leadership roles at Medtronic, Smith & Nephew, and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
Hechler graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree and holds both an MBA and a Juris doctorate from the University of Virginia.
