Krista Hatley Named Chief Nursing Officer at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital has appointed Krista Hatley as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

In her new role, Hatley will lead all nursing functions across the hospital’s 141-bed acute care facility, as well as its affiliated HCA Florida Suwannee Emergency freestanding emergency department located in Live Oak. She will oversee clinical strategy, nurse development, and operational performance, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care across all units.

Hatley transitions to this leadership role from HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, where she served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO). During her tenure, she led several impactful initiatives, including programs to support and retain new nurses, and served as the executive clinical lead for the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, significantly elevating the standard of specialized patient care.

Her HCA Healthcare journey began in 2017 at North Florida Hospital as Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She quickly rose through leadership ranks, becoming Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, and later Vice President of Women’s and Children’s, before stepping into the ACNO position in 2022.

With 19 years of nursing experience across multiple specialties and seven years of progressive leadership within HCA Healthcare, Hatley brings a strong track record of clinical expertise, operational efficiency, and team empowerment. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Nursing Leadership at Galen College of Nursing, expected to graduate in August 2025.
