Olympus Corporation, a global MedTech company focused on improving health and safety, has appointed Denise Lane as Chief Officer of Inclusion (COI).
The appointment highlights the company’s continued commitment to advancing inclusion as a core component of its ESG strategy.
In her new role, Lane will lead and govern Olympus’ global Inclusion strategy, a key pillar within its “Healthy Organization” framework. She will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen governance, enhance accountability, and embed inclusive practices across business operations and management systems. Additionally, she will play a central role in elevating Olympus’ external inclusion presence.
The company’s Inclusion strategy is built around three core pillars: Equal Opportunities, Advocacy and Awareness, and Family Life Support. These focus areas aim to expand career development opportunities, foster inclusive leadership, and support employees through various life stages. Lane joined Olympus in April 2024 as Senior Vice President and Global Intellectual Property General Counsel. Since then, she has contributed to enterprise-wide inclusion initiatives, including engagement with ERGs and the Global Inclusion Executive Council. She will continue in her current role alongside her new responsibilities.
