Josh DeRienzis
THINK Surgical, an innovator in orthopedic robotic technology, has appointed Josh DeRienzis as Chief Legal Officer and Board Secretary, strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to advance robotic solutions for orthopedic surgery.
In his new role, DeRienzis will serve as a senior member of THINK Surgical’s leadership team and work closely with Stuart Simpson, President and Chief Executive Officer. His responsibilities will span company strategy, corporate compliance, and business development, while also overseeing the legal, intellectual property, and human resources functions. His appointment supports THINK Surgical’s focus on disciplined growth, governance, and long-term value creation as it scales its technology and global footprint.
DeRienzis brings more than 25 years of experience advising senior management teams and Boards of Directors across a range of industries on complex legal and strategic matters. His expertise includes securities law, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and litigation. He has a strong track record of supporting companies through periods of growth, transformation, and heightened regulatory oversight.
He also offers deep experience in the healthcare and medical device sectors, having held senior legal roles at both publicly traded and privately held companies. His background includes leadership positions at Argon Medical Devices, Surgalign Holdings, and RTI Surgical, among others, where he advised on regulatory compliance, intellectual property strategy, and corporate transactions within highly regulated environments.
With his extensive legal, strategic, and industry experience, DeRienzis is expected to play a key role in supporting THINK Surgical’s mission to deliver innovative robotic technologies that enhance precision, efficiency, and outcomes in orthopedic care.
