John Rogers

Baxter International Inc., a global medtech leader, has appointed John Rogers as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1, 2026. 

He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Hider, who described Rogers as a proven global finance executive with operational expertise and a record of leading complex transformation initiatives, and an ideal fit as the company stabilizes the business, strengthens its balance sheet and builds a culture of continuous improvement.

Rogers joins from Smith+Nephew plc, where he has served as CFO since 2024 after joining as CFO-designate in 2023. 

He was previously CFO of WPP plc, leading its global transformation program, and earlier held leadership roles at J Sainsbury plc, including Chief Executive Officer of Sainsbury's Argos, where he led a major digital transformation of the omnichannel business, and Chief Financial Officer of Sainsbury's.
